In our sustainability work we will be led by Wibax’ guiding principles – forward thinking, participation, quality and customer focus. Everything we do must be imbued with good chemistry. This means that we work for sustainable development through economic growth, optimised resource utilisation and conscious choices in everything we do.

Our environmental goals

Wibax stands behind the Fossil-free Sweden declaration. Our long-term strategic sustainability goals are:

In normal operation, heating of facilities including cisterns must be renewable by 2025.
From 2030, 100 percent of the company’s vehicle fleet must be electric – and also 100 percent powered by self-produced electricity.
To reduce our emissions in Scope 1 (direct greenhouse gas emissions) & 2 (indirect emissions purchased energy) by at least 42 percent by 2030 compared to the base year 2021. In line with science and SBTi.
Wibax must measure and work to reduce emissions in Scope 3 (indirect emissions distribution and external transport).

Wibax’ sustainability strategy

Our sustainability strategy is to operate a sustainable business with a high level of focus on sustainability in all parts of the business. To create conditions for good economic development in harmony with environmental and social development, that is what sustainability and sustainable business means to us.

In order to sustainably reach the business goals and be able to be a competitive alternative on the market, we must work cost-effectively, have an up-to-date product portfolio and an active customer focus. We must be an attractive employer with a strong focus on safety, and our customers must be able to trust that Wibax’ products and services are rooted in a sustainable supply chain.

Our goal is to be able to give our customers the best solution regarding the environment, safety, service and economy.

Wibax’ sustainability strategy is divided into three sustainability aspects – economic, social and environmental sustainability.

Wibax must reach set growth targets and be a competitive option on the market.

We do this by starting from our customers’ needs and requirements – and actively working to adapt our operations for the development of an up-to-date and sustainable product portfolio and logistics.

Wibax must be an attractive employer and partner. We achieve that by always working for an equal and fair society, based on everyone’s fundamental equality, in contexts both large and small. Through control of the entire supply chain, we ensure quality and supply security without any negative impact on human rights.

Wibax must carry out active environmental work. We do this by reducing our impact on the environment and working for an efficient use of resources. Through, among other things, process optimisations, smart transport solutions, more environmentally friendly products and the sale of bio-oil for combustion, we actively contribute to reducing our own and our customers’ fossil footprint.

Wibax goes electric

A 100 percent fossil-free, electric vehicle fleet powered by 100 percent self-produced electricity. That’s one part of Wibax’ environmental goals for 2030.

To reach it, we continuously replace our vehicles. Additionally, we ensure that the infrastructure is in place through mobile and fixed EV chargers – both at our own terminals and out at our customers’ premises.
